چکیده

In current work, GO@SiO2 nanocomposite was prepared by coating nanoscale silica onto graphene oxide (GO). characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (IF-IR). Additionally, the demulsifying performance of investigated bottle test. The results showed that had a good in both oil-in-water (O/W) water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions. When concentration 200 ppm O/W emulsion, optimal light transmittance aqueous phase (LTA) corresponding oil removal rate (ORR) at room temperature could reach 86.9% 99.48%, respectively. Also, an excellent salt tolerance under acidic condition. Furthermore, also demulsify W/O efficiency 70 °C 80.5% when 400 ppm.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Preparation and Application of Water-in-Oil Emulsions Stabilized by Modified Graphene Oxide

A series of alkyl chain modified graphene oxides (AmGO) with different alkyl chain length and content was fabricated using a reducing reaction between graphene oxide (GO) and alkyl amine. Then AmGO was used as a graphene-based particle emulsifier to stabilize Pickering emulsion. Compared with the emulsion stabilized by GO, which was oil-in-water type, all the emulsions stabilized by AmGO were w...

Thermodynamic Stability of Water-in-oil Emulsions

It is well known that colloids can show phase transitions similar to the ones observed in molecular systems. Colloid-diluted and colloid-concentrated phases can coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium at certain conditions. In a previous work, the authors of this research have used this concept to study petroleum emulsions stability, applying thermodynamic perturbation theories to calculate a phas...

Hydrophilic PDMS microchannels for high-throughput formation of oil-in-water microdroplets and water-in-oil-in-water double emulsions.

Here we present a novel surface modification method based on the sequential layer-by-layer deposition of polyelectrolytes yielding hydrophilic microchannels in PDMS-based microfluidic devices. The coatings are long-term stable and allow for the generation of monodisperse oil-in-water microdroplets even several months after the channel surface treatment. Due to the robustness of the polyelectrol...

Infrared Spectroscopy of Bilberry Extract Water-in-Oil Emulsions: Sensing the Water-Oil Interface

Water-in-oil (w/o) emulsions are of great interest in many areas of the life sciences, including food technology, bioprocess engineering, and pharmaceuticals. Such emulsions are complex multi-component systems and the molecular mechanisms which lead to a stable emulsion are yet to be fully understood. In this work, attenuated total reflection (ATR) infrared (IR) spectroscopy is applied to a ser...
